I found this passage in my notes; I'm not sure where it came from, when I wrote it down or what it meant to me at the time; However how I am feeling today, It totally sums up what I want to be as a practitioner; Honest, ethical, environmental, ridiculous and of course, plenty of tea drinking...

Since I was quite young, I remember having a dream-job of being a journalist [after being a surgeon of course; too much time spent watching ER)]; I've always had a passion to write, but mostly for myself, short stories about my day, how I am feeling; and poetic statements to accompany my art-work have been sporadic, however have been well received in the past, however I still never saw myself as a writer.

Whilst researching, I found a book of mine, called; INSIDE MAGAZINE: Independent Pop Culture Magazines; and upon re-engaging with the book; I found myself looking at it within a different light; Could I have my own magazine, zine or something similar? How would it work? Could i really do this?

Settle...

Towards the end of the summer break; myself and a few of my friends decided to go for a week to a family cottage in Settle, North Yorkshire. Scenically the area provided all kinds of beauty, and was a perfect opportunity for me to experiment with my camera; photographing different things and places; I experiment with the camera in its standard set-up, basic Canon D100 with a basic lenses; as I like to see what is achievable within this restricted function...
